Doug grew up on the plains of Kansas and Oklahoma and spent the early days of his professional career working in research and development on the campus of Oklahoma State University.  He went on to start his own business specializing in CNC machining, powder coating, and other manufacturing services before selling it in 2008 to escape the cold country of the mid-west.  Once in the Old Pueblo he used his technical skills to draft numerous patent applications for a local law firm.

Doug has always had a strong interest in real estate.  He has experience buying and selling personal and investment properties, renovating and updating, and converting living spaces to accommodate a growing family.  Doug combines his natural listening and teaching skills to guide clients through every facet of real estate, from buying and selling to renovating and investing.  He earned his real estate license in 2014 and has been dedicated to real estate full-time ever since, winning awards along the way and founding the Professional Team in 2022.  He believes in empowering and educating his clients to make the best possible real estate decisions for them in their individual situations.
 
Outside of work, Doug and his wife, Lisa, are active members of The Bridge Christian Church East, contributing in various roles. They have two grown children and two rescue dogs. Doug's hobbies include classic car restoration, home renovation, and keeping active with kettlebells. He is a certified Kettlebell Instructor with StrongFirst® and serves as a part-time instructor at his gym.
